Lab-grown diamonds like traditionally mined diamonds are composed of crystallized carbon. They are created in a controlled environment using advanced technology to replicate the natural conditions under which diamonds are formed under the Earth’s crust.Lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and visually identical to mined diamonds.
Lab-grown diamonds are identical to mined counterparts in their composition, appearance and chemistry. They are genuine diamonds created using Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), a process that replicates natural diamond formation. It starts with a natural diamond seed placed in a CVD chamber, where high temperature and pressure conditions mimic those found deep under the Earth’s crust.
There is no way of differentiating between a lab-grown diamond and a mined diamond by looking at them. Even a trained jeweller or expert cannot tell the difference between mined and lab-grown diamonds with their naked eyes or with normal microscopes. Only advanced equipment in gemological labs can identify lab-grown diamonds.
Lab-grown diamonds are graded the same way as mined diamonds. They undergo the same evaluation processes by gemological laboratories to assess their quality. They are certified by all leading gemological labs such as IGI and GIA. All lab-grown diamonds used by Anitraa are graded and certified by renowned third party organisations.

This purity results in exceptional shine, brightness, and luster, making Type IIA diamonds stand out from the rest. Type IIa is a type of diamond grade as classified by the world’s most prominent diamond grading and certifying organizations such as Gemological Institute of India (GIA). The Type IIa diamond grade is applicable to the purest form of diamonds, devoid of any chemical impurities whatsoever. Only 2% of mined diamonds are Type IIa.
